The new law criminalizes the distribution of AI images, pornography, and non-consensual intimate images (NCII), making it a federal offense with penalties of up to three years in prison. This action connects to the Violence Against Women Act Reauthorization Act of 2022 (Section 1309) which made "revenge porn" and "non-consensual porn" a federal offense.
