This is a two-day event, specifically for Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) Tribal Governments Program grantees living in Alaska. The Alaska Project Implementation Workshop is designed to strengthen grantee’s ability to successfully implement their grant projects, increase their understanding of the projects’ impact and the ability of the community to respond effectively towards domestic and sexual violence within their villages or service area, and to provide an environment for leaders to discuss their role in the project, community vision and the sustainability of project successes. Sessions will include:

  • Grant and Project Management
  • Grants Management System (GMS) assistance with Grant Adjustment Notices (GAN)
  • Financial / Budget Management
  • Reporting Responsibilities
  • Learning about what is happening in Alaska; best practices
  • Incorporating traditional and culture into your project
  • In-person project discussion with OVW grants management staff
