This training will focus on offender accountability through a community response by coordination of service providers and court systems highlighting the work of the Oneida Nation. The two-day training will be split between a classroom setting and a working tour of the community.
The first day of training will cover the concepts and theories behind offender accountability through batterer intervention programming and accountability of the court systems, providers, law enforcement, and probation to victim safety.
The second day will include a tour of the community. Participants will meet with partners of the Oneida Coordinated Community Response (CCR) Team to gain working knowledge on how these projects are implemented.
Due to the nature of this training, space is limited to 25 participants. Priority will be given to those who have a batterer intervention program, those who are looking to implement a BIP, and/or a coordinated community response team.
