The 2019 Summit will focus on key issues and promising practices for Alaska Native Villages and Tribal Nations in addressing domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and sex trafficking including methods and strategies to improve victim safety, offender accountability, and effective collaboration between tribal, federal, state governments and / or service providers.
Who Should Attend:
Tribal Governments Program (TGP) attendance is required. TGP grantees are strongly encouraged to invite Tribal leadership and systems partners (i.e. law enforcement, judge, prosecutor, financial staff, advocate, etc.), and may support 3-5 individuals with grant funds.
TSASP, Tribal Jurisdiction, Tribal SAUSA Fellowship, and Tribal Coalitions Program grantees are invited to attend – OVW grant funds can support travel for program staff, criminal justice professionals, Tribal leadership, and systems partners.
This is an approved OVW event. No registration fee is required to attend the Annual Tribal Governments Summit. Participants are responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses. OVW travel set-aside funds can be used for travel and attendance at this event.
